President

Oleksandr Pankieiev is the President of the Alberta Society for the Advancement of Ukrainian Studies. He is also the Editor-in-Chief of the Forum for Ukrainian Studies, the publication project of the Contemporary Ukraine Studies Program hosted at the Canadian Institute of Ukrainian Studies, University of Alberta. He is trained as a historian and ethnographer and frequently publishes on related topics. He is also involved in different media projects and is working on the production of several documentary films.

Vice President

​​Olena Goncharova-LaFoy is a development manager and Canadian correspondent for the Kyiv Independent, and the Vice President at the Alberta Society for the Advancement of Ukrainian Studies. She has a master’s degree in publishing and editing from the Institute of Journalism at Taras Shevchenko National University in Kyiv.

Coordinator

Artem is the festival coordinator. He is a recent UofA graduate with a degree in Community Engagement. In his professional life, Artem is a full-time champion of innovation at Mitacs.

Graphic and Website Designer

Stefka is a digital marketer, communications guru, and graphic website designer, who designed our website. She is also an amateur film director and hobby photographer, and connects with her heritage in supporting Ukrainian projects such as this one.

Secretary

Ihor is a long time community activist and volunteer.
